Look a sender up

Search the web for the organisation behind a domain and keep what was found.

POST/senders/{email}/research

Runs the real call on your workspace.

POST /senders/{email}/research

Search the web for the organisation behind a domain and keep what was found.

Example

Needs threads:read. A domain looked up in the last 30 days is answered from what was kept, and nothing is searched again. Every address under the domain shares the answer, a subdomain included.

curl
curl -X POST "$OE/senders/hello@acme-robotics.io/research" -H "$AUTH"
Response
{  "object": "sender_profile",  "domain": "acme-robotics.io",  "about": "Stripe builds payment software for businesses that sell online, and operates worldwide.",  "updatedAt": "2026-09-30T08:12:44.000Z"}

Only the owner of the workspace may look senders up, with a key or an app that is not limited to particular addresses or domains.

A workspace looks up at most 200 new domains a day, and the next one is a 429 research_limit_reached. A domain nothing could be found about, a personal mailbox provider and a domain of your own workspace are a 404.
