Catch-all addresses
Every address, already real.

Point a domain at Nextmail and mail arrives at any address on it, created or not. One switch closes it.

In short

What is a catch-all address?

A catch-all accepts mail sent to any address on a domain, whether or not somebody created it first. Without one, an unknown name bounces.

1

switch per domain, on from the start

500

caught addresses listed per domain

0

addresses to set up in advance

How it works

One switch, on from the start

A domain you add arrives with catch-all on, and the dialog says so. Closing it is deliberate.

Addresses you invent on the spot

The alias exists the moment mail arrives for it, so there is nothing to create in advance.

The list stops, delivery does not

Recording stops at 500 auto-created addresses per domain, so a dictionary run cannot fill the list. Delivery carries on.

What you get

In the product today

Every local part

Anything before the @ arrives, created or not.

Plus tags too

hello+receipts@ lands in hello@ with the tag kept.

Apex and subdomain

A subdomain you add catches exactly as an apex does.

Settings it hands down

Caught addresses use its signature and tracking, and a new address starts from a copy.

Good practice

Getting the most out of it

  1. 01

    One address per signup

Every message then shows which service it came through.

  2. 02

    Name keepers before closing

Caught addresses stop receiving once catch-all is off, so create the ones you still use first.

  3. 03

    Find the quiet ones

Sort Addresses by Oldest received and the signups that went silent rise to the top.

Works well with

Multiple domains

Point several domains at one inbox, subdomains included.

Temporary addresses

A free inbox that takes real mail for an hour, then closes, so a signup cannot follow you.

Forward an address elsewhere

Point any address, or everything a domain accepts, at an outside mailbox instead of this one.
